My name is John Edwards and I have been a high school teacher working with teenagers for the past 18 years. I have used the techniques explored in Student Mind Power to create amazing results for students each and every year without exception.
There is nothing worse than investing in a book that has not even been written by the author. I know because I have bought those types of books.
Let me reassure you, I have written this book and it contains my heart and soul. What's more I have tested and refined everything in the book through working with thousands of teenagers in high school. I want you to have the confidence to know that this will really have a great affect on your teenager.
As importantly, I have used this information with my own three teenage children to produce remarkable young adults. My children were born with no special abilities, but have learnt to shift their mindset.
I promise you nothing is more important to me than my family and I only want the same result for yours. Student Mind Power addresses issues that teens face everyday that are keeping them from success Key concepts Student Mind Power covers: - How to use your subconsciousness mind to power through school
- Why you should always expect the best and you will get it
- What happens when you tear the word 'failure' from your dictionary
- Never sabotage another test or exam because of worry
- Create massive goals to drive you all the way to college
- Learn how to create your results before they even happen
- Why your teen needs to start thinking positvely of themselves
- Find out how to ignore peer pressure and other negative influences
- Realise that your past or present is not your future
- And Much More
"How Do I Know That This Works? ...I Use It With My Teenagers." All parents love to talk about their children and I am no different so I am going to share a short story about my daughter Jessica:
The development of a success mindset is not something that I take lightly, in fact I have used it with my own children for years. I have taught them the power of their subconscious mind, how to use visualisations, affirmations, develop their own power statements, be aware of their own self-talk and more.
Jessica has wanted to travel all her life and in her final year of high school she got herself a part time job.
The first things she bought were a globe of the world that she put on her desk, began collecting travel booklets and placed a map of the world on her wall. Much to her mother's displeasure she put pins in the wall indicating all the places she wanted to travel. Each morning, afternoon and night she would look at and imagine what it would be like for her to be in those countries.
Her bedroom had become one large 3D vision board.
Ten months later, Jess had successfully completed high school, travelled to California, been to Disney Land, Universal Studios, and all over Mexico.
To top off her year she was one of only two students in all of Australia to win a Leadership Scholarship that had a $5000 that must be used to experience an overseas culture.
It was a great example of the power of visualisation and further evidence that it does not matter what age you might be.
In fact, visualisation is an incredibly important factor in producing amazing academic results and has a chapter devoted to it in my book "Student Mind Power - The High School Student's Guide to Great Grades". "You Have Completed The Hard Work Raising Your Child To This Point...Now Let Student Mind Power Move Them Successfully Through High School" As parents we invest hours into raising our children and ensuring that we do the very best for them. As babies you can wrap them in your arms, feed them and protect them from the world around them.
They grow a little and are crawling around the house. Their hands reach up for the handle, but you protect them from danger with child locks. To get them excited at Christmas, you don't even need the gift, the wrapping paper is enough. A beautiful time of growing and exploration exists between you and your child.
Then comes the tearful day when they start their first day of school. They are wearing shiny black shoes that seem far too big for them, a nice crisp clean uniform and sometimes a hat that just about covers their face.
They might be happy to go off on that first day or they may well have cried, held tightly to your hand or leg and not let go. Either way it is a time of reflection because your child is moving from home and going to school each day.
The next six years of school are a happy time for your child with them exploring, learning new skills, making new friends, reading their first book and the joy that brings and perhaps even getting their first kiss.
High school looms for you and your child. The worry about going from being a leader to a youngster amongst so many older students is in my mind of your child. The change in their lives is immediate - changing teachers, difficult subjects, reports, continuous tests and exams.
The pressure starts to take effect their lives, especially when you combine that with your child's growth into a young adult. Peer pressure, the opposite sex and many other factors may well see your child change from being a happy, easy going child to an uptight, volatile teen that has many different pressures on them.
There comes a time in this transition where as parents we don't unfortunately have all the answers when it comes to helping our teen achieve the academic results they want from high school and we are left wondering what to do to help.
This is the time when you must get your teen a copy of "Student Mind Power-The High School Student's Guide To Great Grades" so that they can successfully navigate through high school and life creating results that they might never have achieved before.
Act now and give your teen every chance of success in high school and life. "What exactly is in Student Mind Power-The High School Student's Guide To Great Grades?" This book is a guide that will see your teenager power through high school regardless of the results that they are currently producing.
Two things separate this book from all others: - all the concepts and strategies taught can be carried over into your teenager's life outside of school
- no extra work is required - only a change in mindset.
Take a sneak peak at what's inside: - How to Use Your Mind to Power through School
Your mind creates your reality. If you're in a good mood, you create good things in your future. If you're in a negative, ugly mood, you create ugliness and chaos. Learn how to create a great time in and out of high school. - How to Use Your Subconscious Mind to Program Success
Your subconscious mind is responsible for generating your feelings, dreams and finding solutions to any problems that rest within your mind. The problem is that when it is left uncontrolled it can sabotage your results. - Why Should You Always Expect the Best?
The secret to your success in senior school is quite simple, if you expect bad results you will get bad results and if you expect to pass easily you will pass easily. The problem is that most students have not trained their mind to believe anything is possible, to think positively and to have faith in the universe and themselves. - The Word that Doesn't Belong In Your Vocabulary
As a student one of the worst things you could do is to think thoughts of failure. I am telling you now to rid yourself of such thoughts, for as you think of failure you will get it. Tear the word 'failure' from your dictionary and mind. Adopt a "I don't believe in failure" attitude. - How To Stop the Worry Habit
How often have you worried for a couple days about an upcoming event, assessment task, interview or anything else? Did it help? No! It only makes it worse. Learn how to rid yourself of worry forever. - Goal Set Your Way to Success
It is critical that you set your goals for the year so you are very clear as to what you must achieve. Notice that I use the word "must" and not want because your goals for the year are not a choice, they are not negotiable, they must be achieved. - How to Use Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Life
The greatest power found in the world is your mind. The world is focussing on the power of computers - faster processors, more memory and greater storage capacity - but the real untapped power is that of your mind. I will show you how to. - How to Multiply the Good Things You Get in Life
If you are to achieve success in senior studies then you must be putting out good feelings to the universe. Feeling gratitude for what you currently have is a great way to start. Learn how to do this each and every day. - Power Statements: Steroids for Students ... Without the Side Effects
For most students the biggest stumbling block between them and academic success are the mental roadblocks that exist within their mind. Interestingly enough most students don't even know that these roadblocks even exist. The most exciting thing is that these roadblocks can be overcome. - How to Believe Good Things about Yourself
An affirmation is one of the simplest and at the same time most powerful tools that you can use to generate success in any area of your life. I will teach you how to create them so that your academic and life results skyrocket. - Why and How to Ignore the Negative
I will teach you to recognise whether the people that you spend your time with are a positive or negative influence and what to do to change your results. - Your Past is Not Your Future
No matter what your academic success has been previously, it can be changed right now, by simply changing the thought that you generate now. Imagine never considering past reults and always looking forward to the next assessment. - How to Talk to Yourself
Whatever you focus on continuously and with feelings, will become your reality. Develop strategies so that your self talk is always pushing you forward towards greater success. - How to Smash through Adversity
One of your major priorities entering high school must be to find a passion that you must achieve in life and continually focus on it. I will show you how to find your passion so that it will push you through any problems that arise in high school. - What to Do Tomorrow?
Now how can you put all these strategies together so that you can blast your way through high school. I will show you.
"Does Your Teenager Dream Of Attending College ?...Give Them The Most Effective Methods Of Boosting Their Grades" To obtain a place in university or college after high school is becoming increasingly difficult with the competition for a limited number of places increasing. As a parent there is nothing worse than knowing that your child has worked incredibly hard throughout the year only to just miss out on achieving the grades they need to get into the course of their dreams. You don't want this to happen to your child.
The techniques that I share in Student Mind Power show students how they can change their mindset so that it is entirely focussed on success. This change in mindset will produce remarkable results for your teenager. The methods I teach are easy and quick to implement, but at the same time incredibly powerful and will be the difference between whether your child achieves those extra few marks that will get them their place in college or university.
I urge you to get a copy of Student Mind Power for your teenager, at only the price of a take away meal, it could be the difference in the direction and success that they ultimately experience in high school and life. You Might Be Thinking Of The Following Questions ...... What if they don't read the book, I've wasted my money?
My answer has two parts, the first is that I have kept your investment down to about the price of a take away meal so that if the worst happens then you are not too much out of pocket. More importantly, though is that as parents please read this book as well so that you can start to subtedly implement the mind set changes and still have such a positive affect on your teen.
I might disagree with the content of the book
Let me put all yours concerns to rest with this question - the main idea behind this book is that in order to be successful your teen needs to have a success mindset and take action. Without both of these working together, your teen will not reach their full academic potential.
This book goes against our religious beliefs
My writing does not offer any ideas that go against any particular religion. I do make reference to the 'universe' working to create your goals at high school and life. When I refer to the 'universe' it can be easily interchanged with 'God' or any other religious term that is in accordance with your beliefs.
What credibility do I have to be offering advice to your child?
I am glad that you asked this question because I would ask the same question to protect my children. I have taught high school for the past 18 years and developed the principles in this book through my experience with teens. In addition, like yourself, I am the father of three teenage children myself. I want nothing more than to see your child succeed in high school and life.
The book goes against the accepted traditions of education
I grant you that the concepts of mindset, affirmations, visualisations and much more are not generally taught in high schools, but that does not mean they should not be. Schools are great at delivering content but for a student to be really successful they need to develop skills that are not taught in schools. I know these skills work because I have been using them for the past 10 years with my students. "How Important Is The Family Unit In Creating Success For Your Teenager?" I know that one of the vital components to your teenager creating massive academic and life success is the family unit.
Without the family working together with the same mindset the task of achieving success for your teenager is made all the more difficult. For that reason I have asked some of the world's teen and family experts to provide a range of gifts when you purchase Student Mind Power.
Some of these gifts are directed at your teen to further excellerate their success at school and in life.
Others are for the adults in the family and will reinforce the mindset that your teen is developing - so that the family unit is working together to create success.
I hope that you enjoy them. More... |
